Living in the Teton Valley
The Grand Teton Club is part of a 5,300-acre master-planned community nestled between the iconic Teton Range to the east and the Big Hole Mountains to the west. The Teton River Valley boasts wide-open spaces, towering mountain views, verdant farmland fields, and charming small towns — all woven together by the pristine Teton River. Whether you seek outdoor adventure, scenic beauty, or a glimpse into rural life, there is nowhere in the world quite as special as Idaho’s magical Teton County and its iconic Teton Valley. The picturesque and charming towns of Victor, Driggs, Tetonia, and Rexburg are all located between 6 and 32 away from The Grand Teton Club.
The Grand Teton Club is located 58 miles, about a 75-minute drive from the Jackson Hole Airport and 59 miles and about one hour’s drive to Idaho Falls Regional Airport. The large capacity Driggs-Reed Memorial Airport is located 15 miles away and can accommodate the large private aircraft.
Outdoor Recreation
Living in The Grand Teton/Yellowstone Area means immersing yourself in the breathtaking outdoors as much as possible. With thousands of miles of trails, skiing at Grand Targhee or Jackson Hole, and thrilling gondola rides, adventure awaits in every season. Fly fishing enthusiasts can reel in excitement on our Club's private 2.5-mile stretch of the Teton River or explore renowned spots like the South Fork or Henry’s Fork of the Snake River with local guides. In winter, embrace the crisp air with cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling. From picnics to whitewater rafting, endless outdoor fun awaits amidst stunning natural beauty.
In most gated golf course communities near the major Western ski towns in the Rockies or the Sierra Mountains, residents often need to go offsite to enjoy the great outdoors. At The Grand Teton Club, we are blessed with our lands, our section of the Teton River, and the 100,000+ acres of the Grand Targhee National Forest directly to our west and literally in our backyard.
Additional recreational amenities planned onsite are a swimming pool, soaking tubs, outdoor decks, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a private lake, trails for biking and hiking, offroad vehicles, and a bunny slope with a magic carpet lift for tubing and teaching children to ski.
Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding
Certainly one of America’s most famous ski destinations, and rated by Forbes Magazine as America’s Top Ski Resort, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort boasts vast and varied terrain spread over two mountains: Rendezvous Mountain and Après Vous Mountain. Rendezvous Mountain offers the most challenging terrain, with steep chutes, bowls, and cliffs, whereas the smaller Après Vous Mountain provides a mix of intermediate and beginner slopes. With one of the highest vertical drops in North America, an average snowfall of around 450 inches of cold smoke powder a year, and over $180 Million invested into the resort in recent years, including a breathtaking gondola that takes passengers 4,100 feet up the hill (skiers and non-skiers alike) to the facilities high above the Valley floor, amazing views, and even better skiing back down the hill.
But not to be missed is Grand Targhee Resort, just 25 miles away from The Grand Teton Club. Located in the expansive Caribou-Targhee National Forest, the mountain enjoys more than 500 inches annually and is a little more laid back than Jackson Hole. With smaller crowds and even more snowfall than Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, it’s a must-ski destination that is popular with families and children.
And 49 miles away, at the edge of Downtown Jackson, the smaller and cozier Snow King Resort. It has challenging terrain, night skiing, a family-friendly atmosphere, and glorious views of historic downtown Jackson.
If you’re up for a bit longer drive, Big Sky Resort up north in Montana, about 2.5 hours away, is another terrific option, with acres of superb terrain, “the biggest skiing in America,” and views that won’t disappoint. Located near The Yellowstone Club and the beautiful city of Bozeman, Montana, Big Sky offers over 5,800 acres of ski terrain, 36 lifts, high elevations, and a variety of outdoor recreational, dining, and entertainment options.
National Parks
Grand Teton Club enjoys close proximity to two of America’s greatest National Parks: Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. Within an 89-mile day trip, you can reach the West Yellowstone Gate where visitors can explore Old Faithful, Artists’ Point at Yellowstone Falls, and witness half of the world’s geysers, rivers, lakes, and majestic wildlife. Just 49 miles away lies Grand Teton National Park, boasting Jenny Lake, Inspiration Point, and the awe-inspiring Grand Teton Mountain Range. These parks offer opportunities to encounter native bison, elk, moose, pronghorn sheep, bald eagles, grey wolves, and the storied grizzly bear. Each visit promises a new chance to be inspired by nature's grandeur.
Culture
The town of Jackson is a cultural hub for this part of the world, with its wooden walkways, bars with saddles for barstools, and the famous elk antler arch — it’s the definition of Western Chic and proud of its Cowboy heritage. Getting its nickname with the term “hole” (used by trappers instead of “valley”), Jackson Hole offers a range of amenities for residents and visitors, including diverse dining options, art galleries, boutique shops, and a vibrant nightlife scene. The town hosts several notable events throughout the year, including the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival, the Grand Teton Music Festival, the Jackson Hole Rendezvous Music Festival, and the famous Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, attracting artists, musicians, and nature enthusiasts from around the world each year.
